Kangana was spotted at the airport yesterday in a grey saree and loafers
Rules are meant to be broken and there's no better time to indulge in some delicious rule-breaking in fashion than while taking a flight. Do it often enough and it becomes a style quirk of its own accord. If you want to test the veracity of that statement, we present to you, as Exhibit A, the lady who is as untameable as her curls, actress Kangana Ranaut.
Airport style, as we've all come to learn in the last couple of years, is an actual thing among fashion watchers. Over time, it's become a big enough deal for celebrities to carefully plan and style the outfits they wear to the airport. While watching them totter on the glossy floors of airports in skin-tight jeans, full makeup and heels or boots is all well and good, a little part of us has always wondered: isn't it uncomfortable? Sure, their standing in life might afford them the comforts of first class flying, but leg cramps and that awful bloated feeling that invariably accompanies long-haul flying are not quite class-conscious and accommodating of fashion choices.
Which is why, when Kangana Ranaut saunters across airports in breezy sarees and comfy loafers, it makes comfort-loving fashionistas' hearts do a little jig in joy.
Yesterday, the lady in question was seen at the airport looking gleefully cosy in a summer grey grid Anavila saree, sleeveless blouse and matching buttery-soft Tod's suede loafers. But wait, a summer saree and going sleeveless for a flight. Doesn't sound very practical, does it? Thankfully, Kangana was also carrying a Burberry trench coat to keep her warm. The all-grey ensemble saw a hint of colour in the form of a blush Burberry bag. And the whole look was neatly finished off with oversized glasses, rosy cheeks and messy twin buns. We can totally imagine Kangana sinking into her seat and catching up on some shut-eye as she flew to Bikaner to shoot for her controversial film Manikarnika.
Kangana's love for sarees is no secret. She wears them to award functions, weddings, interviews... but she's one of the only few celebrities who goes the whole six yards to airports and on flights. While comfort has almost always been Kangana's number one priority while flying, in the past too, she's been spotted in simple cotton sarees and comfort footwear at airports. Last May, she was seen at the airport in a light pastel pistachio green saree and sleeveless blouse, white loafers, customary oversized glasses and barely-there makeup.
The same month, she was once again seen in a cerise Fab India saree, sleeveless blouse and white loafers
