The memorial for Fusilier Lee Rigby at the site of his death in Woolwich has been removed by the local council, because it ‘looks unsightly’.25-year-old Fusilier Rigby, from Middleton, was stabbed to death outside the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, south London, in May 2013 while off duty.

An uninsured driver has been sentenced to just six months in jail and given an 18-month road ban, despite splitting a Ford Focus in two after crashing into a bus shelter.Andrew Clegg (DOB 01/06/1983), of Eastgate, Whitworth, appeared at Burnley Magistrates’ Court on 16 January where he admitted dangerous driving on Market Street, near Oakenshaw Avenue, Whitworth on 12 November.

UK Govt to Set up 'Rapid Response' Fake News Unit

British Prime Minister Theresa May is to agree to the creation of a “rapid response” government unit to fight perceived fake news, it has been reported.In an article for PR Week, he listed the creation of the body as one of the challenges facing GCS.
